Supply Chain's TranSAFE Program 2010

Each year, SOXAL organises programmes encouraging our drivers to develop a greater awareness of road and work-related safety issues.

As part of the 2010 safety campaign, we are promoting Transport Safety (TranSAFE) among our drivers. Aiming to achieve zero loss-time accidents from this year onwards, different activities will be implemented based on the following key principles:

• Culture
• Training
• Resource and Incentives
• Maintenance

One of the first activities we implemented was the creation of the video carrying the message "The Best Gift to ME is YOU", targeted at both the driver and loved ones. Reflecting the bond between the family, the driver and SOXAL, the video encapsulated a strong safety message and encouraged the families to play a role in encouraging their loved ones to work and drive safely.

This video is just the beginning - to spread the message, members of the Supply Chain and Communications Departments will be visiting the drivers and their families to disseminate the message. The Supply Chain department also plans to continue to develop activities based on the principles of the TranSAFE programme to achieve their objectives.
