Supporting a Milestone Project: Rolls Royce  [ Return towards  SOXAL News  ]

SOXAL was appointed by Rolls-Royce to provide full turnkey engineering works for their gas supply solution, including a gas distribution system and the supply and distribution of bulk, compressed industrial and specialty gases.

Singapore is strategically located to capture the demand for aviation-related services in the market. Already the region’s aviation hub, Singapore’s bold new goal is to be an international aviation hub, and it’s further strengthening its infrastructure to achieve this global vision. The Seletar Aerospace Park is the key factor in these efforts. The 300 hectare aerospace park enables companies to reap the benefits of the current infrastructure and the economies of scale from the cluster integration.

Aero engine maker Rolls-Royce’s investment in Singapore will exceed S$700 million. The Rolls-Royce Seletar campus will comprise a Trent aero engine assembly and test facility, a wide chord fan blade (WCFB) manufacturing facility as well as a regional training centre and Advanced Technology Centre (ATC), an integral part of the Rolls-Royce global network for technology research. The WCFB facility will be the first outside the UK to manufacture hollow titanium wide chord fan blades, a unique capability and technology which has played a key role in the success of the Trent engine family.

SOXAL was appointed by Rolls-Royce to provide full turnkey engineering works for their gas supply solution, including a gas distribution system and the supply and distribution of bulk, compressed industrial and specialty gases. Rolls-Royce represents another impressive milestone for SOXAL, building on an already accomplished resume of success in the aviation industry.
