SOXAL Innovation Day - 9th November 2009  [ Return towards  SOXAL News  ]

The annual SOXAL Idea Creation Process inspires employees to put on their thinking caps and develop innovative ideas and solutions that focus on business innovation, efficiency and safety.

On 9th November 2009, 100 SOXAL employees attended the prestigious event held at Health Promotion Board auditorium. Mr. Lee Chun Wah, Regional Director of South and Southeast Asia, graced our event with his presence and presented the opening speech. He spoke of the importance of innovation in Air Liquide's success and how this will continue to play an important role in the future. The keynote speaker, Mr. Brett Cameron, Creative Director from Kingsmen Creatives, reiterated how innovation is a positive mindset that leads to companywide success.

This year 64 out of 168 idea project submissions were reviewed and approved for implementation. Fourteen of these projects were awarded in their respective areas and received Innovation Awards in Diamond, Platinum, Gold and Silver categories.

The SOXAL I-Panel judges assessed the Top 3 projects and awarded the Top Innovation Diamond Award to the "Top Safe Ladder" by Project Engineering Services. "Documents by Email" by Finance Department and "Cylinder Clothes" by Special Gases, took home the Innovation Platinum Awards.
