Awarded Safety Milestone Award  [ Return towards  SOXAL News  ]

SOXAL recently reached a safety milestone while working on its Shell Houdini Ethylene Cracker Complex (ECC) project in Pulau Ular. As one of the contractors on the Pulau Ular site, SOXAL was presented with the Safety Milestone Award, recognising its excellent safety and loss prevention programmes that have contributed to the site’s 25 million safety man-hours injury without loss time record.  

“This Shell Houdini ECC project has reinforced our commitment to safety,” said Customer Engineering Services Manager On-Site, Mr. Peter Kong. “Safety is a priority in SOXAL and we are honoured to be acknowledged with this accolade.” 

SOXAL is currently working on supporting the modifications and additions to Shell Eastern Petrochemicals Complex which include a new world-scale Mono-Ethylene Glycol plant. SOXAL is building an Air Separation Unit and MOS T6 Nitrogen Generator to support these new developments which is expected to be ready by the third quarter of 2009.
