After a year of collaborative efforts among SOXAL, Air Liquide Engineering South Asia and Air Liquide Hangzhou, our J9 Air Separation Unit (ASU) commissioned its first Industrial Production on 15th September 2009.
Constructed primarily to supply oxygen and nitrogen to Shell’s Mono-Ethylene Glycol (MEG) plant in Jurong Island, J9 ASU, with a capacity of 1,200 tons/day is also integrated with the existing ASUs and pipeline network in Jurong Island and Tuas area, adding reliability and stability to the extensive network.
Jurong Island and Tuas are poised to play significant roles in shaping the future industrial landscape of Singapore. This new ASU on Jurong Island will be an integral element of this future, playing a key role in supporting this development.
Equipped with the latest technologies of the Air Liquide Group, this investment also signals SOXAL’s intention of keeping pace with the region’s rapid industrial development, and reinforces SOXAL’s position as Southeast Asia’s largest and most reliable gas supplier.
