SOXAL Strengthens Its Brand Equity

Air Liquide first established its Southeast Asian base (Far East Oxygen) in Singapore in the early 20^th century (1911). In 1975, SOXAL was formed initially as a joint venture and in 2007 the entity became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Air Liquide.  

Throughout these years, SOXAL had been supporting Singapore industries - from the shipyards in the early days, to the marine, chemicals/refining, electronics and pharmaceuticals sectors as Singapore accelerated its industrialisation programme over the years. Significant investments have been made, notably on Jurong Island to serve the chemicals and refining customers. 

Today, SOXAL has become an integral part of the Singapore industrial infrastructure, recognised for its quality, reliability and technology.  

Merging the brand values of Air Liquide, a global brand, will further strengthen SOXAL’s brand equity as the leading and innovative industrial and medical gas provider in Singapore.  

This is timely as Air Liquide is well positioned and will continue to play a part in Singapore’s economic growth story, placing emphasis on developing its capital, technology and human assets in the country.
